Somali security meeting continues in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

A key meeting on Somalia security situation is currently underway in Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa for the second day.

During the meeting participants will discuss on security in the war-torn country the recent dramatic change –Al-Shabaab’s pull out of the capital-and the Kampala accord.

Officials from United Nations political office for Somalia and African countries who contributed to AU peacekeeping mission in Somalia are taking part the Somalia security meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Speaking at the summit, Somalia’s minister of defense Hussein Arab Isse stressed on the current drought and famine related crisis in Somalia and the recent positive military achievement by the Somali government in their fight against Al-Shabaab militia group.

The Somali government hopes that after the meeting, positive resolutions that will deal with security situation in the country will be adopted.
