A growing number of Zambians is being refused entry into Ethiopia because they do not have valid documentation to come to that country.

The Zambian Embassy in Addis Ababa says it is concerned with the increasing number of such cases.

Zambian Ambassador to Ethiopia, Albert Muchanga is appealing to ensure their visa documents are valid before leaving for Ethiopia.

He advised immigration authorities and travel agencies in Zambia to advise and see to it that those leaving the country have their documentation in place.

This is contained in a statement by First secretary for press at the Zambian Embassy in Addis Ababa Dorcas Chileshe.

Mr Muchanga says even though visas can be obtained on arrival at Bole International Airport, Zambians must have copies showing that their visas had been submitted to Immigration Authorities in Ethiopia prior to departure.

He says those coming to attend Conferences, workshops, seminars and other meetings should ensure that organizations inviting them process visas before the date of travel.

He has advised Zambians to strictly adhere to the Ethiopian Immigration rules to avoid inconveniences.
